About SZ
SZ Academy brings together technical excellence, athletic development and a passion for the water, from first lessons to competitive swimming and open-water adventures.

Our story
SZ Academy grew from Simon Zablith's desire to give swimmers the guidance, mentorship and belief that shaped his own athletic development. A coach who became both mentor and father figure helped him understand the impact coaching can have beyond technique.
Simon's journey includes a 12-hour continuous pool swim, an 18-hour continuous open-water swim and an English Channel attempt in 2024. His experience in competition and adventure informs an approach that starts with the swimmer: understand their potential, build the right environment and develop them progressively.
With academic studies in Coastal Sciences and Water & Coastal Management, plus aquatic rescue qualifications, he brings scientific curiosity and respect for the water to the academy.
The long-term vision is a stable team across multiple levels, national-level swimmer development, rescue-swimmer preparation and a growing adventure-swimming community.
Our mission
To inspire, guide and develop swimmers so they can unlock their highest potential in the pool, in open water and beyond. The human behind the athlete.
Take responsibility for your development.
Be truthful about where you are and what needs improvement.
Do the right thing even when nobody is watching.
Train with purpose.
Adapt, persist and come back stronger from challenges.
How we coach
Individual development, technical quality, physical preparation and measurable progression guide our coaching. Swimmers learn why they train as well as what to do, while building confidence, discipline and the skills to explore their next challenge.
